The Last Leg of the Eras Tour: Possibilities and Predictions

A woman of tricks and treats.

Taylor Swift began her last leg of the Eras Tour, reclaiming the stage on October 18th after a two-month break. A woman with many tricks up her sleeve, Swift had fans waiting on her every movement, every word, every breath as she re-entered each era in her glittering prime.

The Eras Tour has spanned over a year thus far and has been full of jaw-dropping, eye-popping surprises. From new outfits, music video announcements, to completely new eras and more, Swift knows how to put on a show.

As the Eras Tour is set to come to a close December 8th, 2024, Swifties wonder what could possibly be thrown at them during the last month of friendship bracelet trading and surprise song guessing.

During the recent Miami shows of the last leg, Swift has debuted seven new outfits – including the highly-anticipated reputation bodysuit. She stunned in three new surprise song dresses, a gorgeous blue Speak Now gown, a fringy Fearless getup, and even a new Midnights t-shirt dress paired with a bejeweled-free Lavender Haze jacket. Swift also took the stage with Florence Welch of Florence + The Machine to perform “Florida!!!” in Florida.

So the question is: What else could Swift possibly serve us?

With a month left of the tour, Swift will likely provide Swifties with surprises every weekend. She wants to go out with a bang.

I predict each era will have an entirely new outfit, but likely not a completely new wardrobe. Unless Swift surprisingly extends the tour, I doubt she will debut a new, full concerts-worth wardrobe in the last leg.

With this in mind, I don’t think the reputation era will get a new bodysuit past the one Swift debuted in Miami. As we get closer to reputation (Taylor’s version) becoming a reality, we reminisce on what the original reputation meant to Swift and to us as Swifties. Swift’s forever unchanged reputation, changed – just as she represents with the two bodysuits, one lasting nearly the whole length of the tour, and the next an upgraded, new, golden version.

In terms of music, we are still in The Tortured Poets Department era. With The Anthology finally being released on vinyl November 29th, the only possible announcement regarding a new era we are likely to receive from Swift is on the last day of the tour, December 8th.

Swift has two re-recordings left to release – why show all her cards at once? Her career is at its peak and it isn’t anywhere near its decline. Swift has tricks to save, and her final two re-recordings are likely just that. While it would make sense for the Eras Tour to encompass all the re-recorded albums, Swift may want her first album, Debut, and her farewell to the old her, reputation, to go beyond the Eras Tour.

As the tour that broke records and mended our hearts comes to an end, Swift’s surprises likely never will.
